Dorrity Fun

We had my sister Summer and her family for dinner and games. We had many rousing rounds of guitar hero. Ryan is a big fan of the drums. I think Eye of the Tiger played at least 3 times!!! Now my kids won't stop begging for guitar hero. I so wish they had songs for little kids. My sisters and I decided we needed to come up with pumped up versions of primary songs for guitar hero. Singles Ward is flashing through my mind right now.

Hats for all occassions

Becca loves to dress up. Just like her older sisters. She gets a kick out of putting things on her head....as long as she wants it, not one else. I find her after her nap with pajamas on her head as she can reach her dresser. She loves putting on shoes, jewelry, and hats. While I was teaching she came into the music room with the biggest smile on her face and the biggest hat on her head.

Spring Fever

It was such a nice day today. The kids decided it was high time to enjoy the park. They invited their friends to join us. I had fun taking pictures of the kids being crazy!!!

Sunday Fun

It was such a beautiful day today. The sun was shining, the wind was light, the air was slightly crisp. The kids were in heaven. I can't count how many times Makayla said "It's summer out there, mom." She was outside much of the afternoon. The kids had a ball playing in the sand box until I caught them with sand not just in the sandbox. That is a HUGE no no in our house. They then had fun cleaning the mess they made.
Becca found her way inside to my camera. She wanted to get her picture taken. This is what occurred next.

My baby is growing up. It is way too fun.

Never enough head bands

Becca loves playing in places she shouldn't be. The other day I found her in the bathroom, which is one of her places to be. This is what I found. Who could pass up the photo op? She is all girl!!!

Toothfairy pillows coming out of my ears

Several years ago I stitched a darling pillow top for Ryan for a toothfairy pillow. I just never made it into a pillow. I am not much of a seamstress -(okay, funny side note. I went to put I am not much of a sewer-does anyone see anything wrong with that? I obviously am not much of a speller either). Anyway, that pillow top has sat for years in my drawer, not ready for use, while Ryan has lost 6 teeth. Makayla lost her tooth a few weeks ago and was ready to loose a second one. I finally decided I had better get my behind in gear and make hers. So, I got the stuff together and a brilliant thought came to mind. Why not make one for Ashlyn and Becca now so I don't have to worry about it later? So, I did. Brilliant, I know. I just know I have to knock out all sewing projects together or it will be another year or two or three before it gets done. Thanks to my mom who helped put on the little pockets and showed me how to do the pillows, I finished Tuesday evening. Just in time for Makayla to loose her second tooth. She was so excited to put her tooth in the pillow. She was even more excited when her money from the toothfairy replaced the tooth in the pocket!!! Ashlyn had to sleep with her pillow that night. She still would sleep with it if I didn't insist that I keep it safe until she looses a tooth. She is quite excited for this to happen. I had to keep stressing that she shouldn't try to loose a tooth by pulling one out, but that she should wait. So far so good. Ryan's response to his finally finished pillow was "I wish you had finished it sooner". Poor guy, at least for the rest of his teeth it is ready.

I love good customer service!!!

So, not much makes me happier than good customer service. When people really go out of their way to help you with a problem that is really not their problem, well, it just brightens my day. Two days ago I walked upstairs to find my brand new only been used once nice tripod in 4 different pieces on my closet floor. It isn't supposed to be 4 different pieces, only one. It had fallen a few feet onto the carpet and fell apart...literally. I was beyond furious and sick to my stomach. I had waited awhile to get a new tripod anyway, and now that the weather is getting better I am planning on taking more pictures and such. Well, on the tag, which was still on the tripod, it said it had a limited lifetime warranty. There was just NO information ANYWHERE on the tag and who to contact for that warranty. I searched, diligently I might add, online for the company. It was bought at a ritz camera and that is the only contact information I could find. So, I went online and contacted them. They then informed me Ritz online and Ritz stores have different policies. After much frustration, I finally called an Inkley's (linked with Ritz camera shops) in Orem and explained what happened. They told me to bring it in and they would see what they could do. I brought it in this morning and they replaced it for me. No questions asked!!!! I didn't even buy it from that exact store. So, they are now one of my favorite stores on this planet and if I need some camera equiptment I will definetely check with them first. So, lesson learned....good customer service provides customers for life!!!
